Our Holiday case arriveth! We've got sparkling for the new year, and a mix of wines to pair with a roaring fire, and... maybe some snow? We've pulled together a case selection of our favorite wines for the season.
Sparkling x 2
White Wine x 3
Red Wine x 7
Here's what's inside:
Sparkling - Belle Jardin
Grape: Chenin Blanc, Pinot Blanc
In Alsace, the vineyards lie between two active fault lines, which creates a patchwork of soils and flavors. Sparkling wine is a longstanding tradition. This sparkling has flavors of florals, crisp citrus, and toasty notes. Drink now or hold 1-2 years.
Sparkling - Lovisolo Rosé
This small producer makes about 3,000 bottles. Massimo Lovisolo started making wine for just family and friends, and increased a bit so we can have some, too.
White Wine - Nortico
In Northern Portugal, on the border with Spain, you'll find steep, plunging hillsides covered in the Alvarinho grape. This wine is bursting with juicy minerality, and perfect with seafood, pork, or fennel dishes. Drink now, or hold up to 3 years.
White Wine - Sokos (x2)
Savvatiano is indigenous to Greece and reminds us of Chenin Blanc. You'll taste a rich mid-palate with a touch of peachy minerality on the finish. Drink now, or watch it blossom over the next 2 years.
Rouge - Beau Chene
Grape: Pinot Noir
This light-bodied Pinot Noir is a juicy, cherry, red with a hint of earthiness from the rolling hills of Piemonte (where you'll also fine Barolo & Barbaresco). Drink now, or hold a couple years.
Rouge - LaGrange Clinet
Grape: Cabernet Sauvignon+
This wine epitomizes the power and elegance of Bordeaux. Drink now, or age up to 3 years.
Rouge - Butte de Charlemagne
Grape: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc
This lush red blend is farmed east of Bordeaux City on clay & limestone soils. Drink now, or age up to 4 more years for a bit more development.
Rouge - Terrae Palmae
Sardegna: Brigadoon-like haven of an island off the coast of Italy. Here, you'll find nooks, hills, inlets, and hidden microclimates all over this vine-blanketed island. Rustic wine producers make soul-stirring wines that hit the limbic system. Drink now, or hold 2-4 years to see some development.
Rouge - Villa D Rosso
Grape: Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc
Grown just outside the Medieval wall of the village of Montapulciano, this Super Tuscan blends indigenous Tuscan varieties with Bordeaux varieties. Drink now, or age up to 3 years.
Rouge - Scopone 'Sant Antimo'
Grape: 90% Sangiovese, 10% Petit Verdot
Drive about 20 miles south of Siena, and you'll reach Montalcino and the golden hills of Montalcino, spotted with twisting olive trees. This lush Super Tuscan gets a bit of heft from the lush Petit Verdot blended in with the Sangiovese. Drink now, or age up to 5 years.
Rouge - Gautol
This rustic Malbec from southwest France comes from Cahors-- a village that sits in the center of a river bend, dotted with old bridges. Cahors is the birthplace of Malbec, where the locals call it 'Cot.' So if you're a fan of Malbec, this should be right up your alley.

We've got a tasty Portuguese rosé from the Alentejo region, made from Aragonez (60%) and Castelão (40%), by Olaria. This is aged in steel, and tastes fresh, brights and vibrant with notes of red berries and blood orange citrus. A beautiful pair for summer salads or... a sunset!
